MUSANDAM  TOURS -  FROM KASAB AND DIBBA

The Musandam is a peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman, which is geographically located on the northern part of Oman. The peninsula is surrounded by majestic high rise mountains, situated more thousand meters above the sea level in the Indian Ocean and the Persian gulf. The Musandam overlooks the very important water ways in the Strait of Hormuz, which makes this location famous on the maritime map. The Strait of Hormuz serves as a passage for the lion-share of the world’s crude oil production. We are offering two various trip to Musandam

MUSANDAM KHASAB TOUR: It is suggested to do the Musandam tour from Khasab, if you are looking for an authentic tour of Musandam because you would be cruising through numerous fjords one after the other, and this is what the cruise Musandam tour makes you to remember for a life time. ABC Tours Musandam tour is passing through the Persian Gulf towards the Strait of Hormuz, where you see many fjords, the dolphins and the scenery during the cruising is aboslutely amazing and so beautiful; the natural beauty is incredible and you will fall short of words to praise the God's magnificent creation.

ABC Tours Musandam Khasab tour starts  early in the morning by 06.00 – 6.30 am from your hotel in Dubai or Sharjah( if you are in Ras al Khaima or Fujairah you may start 2 hrs later). We would be travelling via various emirates and finally through the rocky mountainous Emirates of Ras Al Kamiah. Then we move towards the border between UAE and Oman, the visa for Musandam tour is issued on arrival by Omani authorities for the entry into the Sultanate of Oman.  The Omani visas are issued at the border for EU nationals, Americans and Australians, Japanese a basic visa fee will be charged, other nationalities may obtain their visas prior to arrival. The  drive continues towards the Omani province of Khasab, the capital of Musandam.  On arrival at the Khasab port, which was used by Portuguese in the 16th century, our traditional wooden boat “the Omani Dhow” awaits to welcome you on board. While cruising, you would be served with refreshments.

The boat is decorated with Persian carpets and pillows for your comfortable seating and makes you feel like a sheikh and that is the taste of Arabian hospitality. You would be cruising through the Persian Gulf towards the so called telegraph Island to witness the various tribal villages and their huts made of rocks and mud. On arrival at the famous Telegraphic Island, your boat would be anchored. The first stop is the Telegraph Island &  Seebi  Island, also known as the Jazirat al Maqlab, where the British administration built their sub-station to boost telegraphic signals from Karachi to Khasab and back, later it  was abandoned. However, it is believed that those cables laid under the sea  still exist. This is the time for all to venture into the sea. It’s the perfect location to snorkel, fishing and enjoy the exotic underwater marine life, in this crystal blue waters. The Omani Dhow then continues its journey on the 17 kilometer long fjord called "Khor al-sham". Then comes the best part of your cruise where you watch the dolphin’s bow riding and jumping around your dhow. The fjords are treasured with colourful corals, fishes and turtles, great for snorkeling. A sumptuous lunch will be served on board with soft drinks and water included.

FULL DAY MUSANDAM DIBBA TOUR:  Musandam- Dibba tour is totally a different location when compared to the Musandam Khasab cruising. This tour is just only an alternative to the visitors who cannot obtain visas to Oman but still want to enjoy the same thrill and fun. We, ABC Tours have crafted Musandam Tour in such a way that our guests would not be able to spot the difference, as we take long stretches of many fjords through the Indian Ocean while passing through the Omani village.

Our tour leaves for the Dibba en-routes to East coast early in the morning, we do offer pickups from all the hotels in UAE.  During our tour towards Dibba we get a captivating view of the Hajjar mountains touching the blue skies. The Hajjar mountains range is the home to the endangered flora and fauna in Arabia due to its ever changing climatic conditions. Then we move towards Masafi – the home to the famous Masafi mineral water bottling plant, the source of the natural water is from the foothills of the Hajjar mountain range.

We will be passing through the coastal regions of Khorffarkhan, where you look out for some sudden and surprising hair pin bends to reach Dibba, a fishing harbour of Oman. Here you find a traditionally built Omani dhow anchored and waiting to welcome you on board. While on board, you will be served with refreshments as you  cruise towards Musandam. During the cruise you will see small villages on the rocky hillsides, cruise along  some Fjords of Musandam and if lucky watch the dolphins swimming alongside the dhow. We shall anchor the dhow in one of the Fjords. The Capitan would make sure that everyone carries the life jackets to swim, snorkel and fishing on board. The fjords are treasured with colourful corals, fishes and turtles, great for snorkeling. Later, proceed on for an aromatic Arabic lunch, which will be served with soft drinks and water included.
